The Bamfords clocks, barometers and mechanical music department select and directs lots to appropriate auctions and locations. Longcase, carriage, skeleton, and bracket clocks usually are directed to the quarterly fine auction together with many of the cylinder musical boxes, polyphones and symphoniums.
However, in recent years general auctions have been a popular hunting ground for the budding horologist. Edwardian balloon shaped mantle timepieces, 18th century barometers and marble mantle clocks are often found here.
